Keeps Dirt Dry and Grass From Growing

The dirt around a baseball field is a mix of clay and sand that is damaged by heavy rain. Installing baseball field tarps in specific locations, such as the bases or in the bullpen, will minimize the work required to get your field game ready after a storm. It also helps to keep grass at bay along the field's dirt, as it prevents UV rays from reaching through to the soil underneath.

Material and Hardware

Our preferred fabric for baseball infield spot covers is 18-ounce vinyl coated polyester. This fabric features excellent UV resistance and durability. This fabric is assembled using heat seal seams which are 100% waterproof. The outer perimeter is folded to create a 2-ply thickness known as the hem. This hem is sewn with a double lock stitch using our rot resistant 277 polyester bonded thread. Brass #2 rolled rim locking spur grommets are machine punched about every 36 inches around the hem. Baseball infield spot cover tarps are typically secured using ground spikes or stakes. As an alternative to spikes we offer vinyl sandbags.
