As drawn, this 24'x20' tarp is used as the center tarp in a three-piece 8' drop lumber tarp set. Turned sideways, it becomes a 6' drop lumber tarp. If you need to cover a pair of 6' or three 4' coils, it works perfect. With 84 D-rings and 38 grommets it makes an excellent machinery tarp. As an added bonus, each tarp weighs 25 pounds less than the standard 27'6" lumber tarp. For 53' trailers, order two 24'x20' end tarps along with this 24'x20' center. For 48' trailers, order two 24'x17'3" end tarps.
Three rows of D-Rings are installed on both sides plus two rows of D-rings are installed on each end. These 1.5" dee rings are spaced about 30" apart and are inserted under a row of heavy duty polypro webbing. Each ring is triple stitched using our black 277 polyester thread. The outer perimeter of the tarp is folded over, creating a two-ply thickness known as the hem. Brass rolled rimmed #2 grommets are machine punched about every 30" around this hem.
We offer this tarp constructed out of either 14-ounce or 18-ounce vinyl coated polyester fabric. Both fabrics are made by the same manufacturer and share the same 1000Dx1300D construction. The 18-ounce features increased tear strength plus a thicker vinyl coating with a 25% higher abrasion rating. This size tarp weighs 64 LBS in the 14oz or 73 LBS in the 18oz.
Lookout Mountain Tarp keeps this tarp pre-made and ready for immediate pick up or same business day shipping if the black 18oz option is selected. Orders for colors other than black or the 14oz fabric are made to order and will ship within 5 business days.
