General Info.

Auger socks are a round cylinder shaped fabric panel spout that is attached to the end of the discharge chute of an auger. Auger drop tube socks help guide grain, feed, or seed during loadout. Fabric auger sleeves are often used on bulk haul trailers carrying poultry feed, seed tenders, and grain carts. Poultry feed mill plants use auger socks to transfer pellets from the mixer to the silo, during packing processes, and also while loading for bulk haul.

Measuring

Measuring for our boot chicken feed sleeve tarp is rendered really easy. All you need to measure is the diameter of the discharge spout you mount the sock to, and select the closest fitting option. Length is 29", and is designed to be cut down to size on site.

Material and Hardware

Constructed out of waterproof 22-ounce vinyl coated polyester fabric. This material has excellent UV resistance and has proven itself for decades in the transportation industry. The top will feature a two-ply hem that is reinforced with heavy duty polypro webbing. Typically mounted with a clamp or zip ties, it can feature 4 grommets if you choose.
