28' x 22'5" Vinyl Lumber Tarp for Stepdeck or Drop Deck Trailer - 10' Drop

10' drop tarps are often selected for Stepdeck or Drop Deck trailers that can haul taller better paying loads. Step deck trailers have about an 11' top deck with either 42' or 37' of lower deck. Due to the shorter coverage area drop deck tarps are made are made 5' shorter than what would purchased for a flatbed. Due to the shorter length the tarp's overall weight is very similar to a standard 8' drop tarp.

One end of the tarp includes a 10' tall x 8' wide flap which will drop down the front or rear of the load to create the boxed shape. This flap is recessed 12" into the tarp creating a pair of rain flaps that will wrap around the corners of the load and tuck underneath the flap for a better seal. The flap is double sewn onto the tarp using our rot resistant thread to ensure long life.

Three rows of D-Rings are installed on both sides as well as the flap. Each ring is triple stitched using our black 277 polyester bonded thread. The outer perimeter of the tarp is folded over creating a two-ply thickness known as the hem where #2 brass rolled rimmed locking spur grommets are installed. This design features 57 D-Rings and 64 grommets for a total of 121 attachment points.

We offer this tarp constructed out of either 14-ounce or 18-ounce vinyl coated polyester fabric. Both fabrics are made by the same manufacturer and share the same 1000Dx1300D construction. The 18-ounce features increased tear strength plus a thicker vinyl coating with a 25% higher abrasion rating. This size tarp weighs 82 LBS in the 14oz or 94 LBS in the 18oz.
