Custom UV Shade Cloth Tarp Cover - 8.25oz Knitted Mesh 70% Solid

Shade cloth is a type of tarp used to block a percentage of the sun's UV rays to provide protection for the soil, plants, animals, people, or equipment underneath. Shade tarps are used for agricultural, industrial, and residential purposes. Shade cloths can be draped over structures like a greenhouse, mounted to the top of something like a pergola, be suspended between a tube frame, or simply staked to the ground for weed or frost control.

All shade cloths from Lookout Mountain Tarp are custom built to match the specifications of your order. Regardless of the fabric type selected, the tarp will feature a 2-ply hem that is reinforced using 2" wide heavy duty polypro webbing sometimes referred to as tape. This webbing is attached using two rows of our black 277 polyester bonded thread which features a 44 lbs breaking strength that is nearly double the industry standard. In the corners, as well as about every 24" around the hem, #2 brass locking spur grommets will be machine punched through the hem to provide extra strength.

This 8.25 ounce knitted HDPE monofilament mesh is our best priced shade cloth fabric making it a popular choice for larger projects. The 70% shade rating is highly versatile and this material is available four colors (black, green, tan, or white). This fabric comes on a 144" roll allowing seamless construction up to 11'8" long. The knitted construction features a pliable netting feel which is beneficial for many applications but can result in a finished product that is not 100% uniform.
