Custom Clear Window Tarp With Pockets for Porch Patio Deck - 30 Gauge Double Polished Clear Vinyl

Clear window tarps are often used for climate control on outdoor structures such as a patio, porch, deck, bar, or restaurant. Clear tarps can be used to extend the use of seasonal outdoor areas without blocking the view that makes these locations so desirable.

Our preferred fabric for clear tarps is a 0.030 thick double polished clear PVC vinyl. This fabric comes on a 54" roll and for larger sizes can be assembled using heat sealed seams which are virtually invisible. The outer perimeter will feature a 2-ply hem that is reinforced using 2" wide heavy duty polypro webbing, often referred to as tape. This webbing is attached using two rows of our black 277 polyester bonded thread which features a 44 lbs breaking strength that is nearly double the industry standard. In the corners as well as about every 24" around the hem, #2 brass locking spur grommets will be machine punched through the hem for extra strength.

Unlike our other vinyl fabrics, 30 gauge clear does not have a polyester scrim. This lack of structure causes the material to shrink or expand with temperature change. It is also prone to stretching if constant pressure is applied. For these reasons we offer optional 2" pockets in lieu of the traditional grommets. Should you select this option, pieces of 1/2 " EMT conduit tubing will need to be acquired from your local hardware store. These pipes will be slid into the pockets to create a ridged border that lays flat. The conduit can be secured using clamps for a clean look and when compared to grommets, eliminates 80% of the screws needed to properly secure the tarp. This makes installation and removal substantially easier and increases the life expectancy of the tarp.
